I like this Will O'Brien quote. I think, though for us to discover how to do this, we really need to look at what love really means. Our concept of look is rooted in Romanticism, and has more associations with good feelings such as adoration and admiration and is seemingly divorced from such things as real commitment, work, and struggle. I was recently reading Tom Wright's new book Surprised by Hope and was struck by what he had to say regarding this. I wrote a blog about it here. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

how interesting, you mentioned in a comment on my blog that you are in your first year at Seminary, from experience this is not an uncommon place to be, I am currently in my third year, and feel that my faith has been deconstructed, and is slowly being reconstructed, but there is a dark place in the middle...keep on keeping on, recognition is half the journey :-)

grrrr...prosperity gospel. I think that if the prosperity gospel was truth, the bible would probably read a little differently. Like maybe the pharisees would have given Jesus a Lexis and Rome would have consulted Jesus about his business plan.

Basia sure can rock an auto-harp. I like her song "Little Waltz" a whole lot more though.

I love Christine Fellow's face and use of over head projection. I like that there is room to think in her songs. There not too busy. I like that.
